Gary is proud to announce that his much loved comic work '2 Men & a Michael' has been selected for EXPOSURE - a season of new dance and opera at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden - London. Over a 3 night run, '2 Men & a Michael' will take to the stage and will be performed by one of the UK's leading dance double acts - New Art Club (Tom Roden and Pete Shenton).
In two complementary performance series of opera and dance, Exposure throws new light on contemporary work, showing the latest projects from young creative artists in an informal setting at The Linbury Studio Theatre.
Exposure: Dance presents short works by emerging choreographers, with highlights including premieres from Alexander Whitley and aerialist Ilona Jäntti, plus re-created works by Jorge Crecis and Gary Clarke. A surprise bite-size dance work completes each evening. There will also be pre and post show entertainment and Meet the Artists in the bar.
Exposure: Opera shows the best new writing by opera composers from a diverse range of backgrounds. Fragments of new scenes are presented alongside slices of fully-completed works, world premieres, and future commissions in development. Presented in cabaret style, with a bar in the Linbury Studio Theatre, Exposure:Opera creates a relaxed environment to experience new work.
Both of these informal showcases include the chance to meet the composers, choreographers, writers, dancers and singers afterwards to chat about their work over a drink, whilst enjoying the post-show entertainment (until 10.45pm)
